"Hey guys..." Kelly said from the dressing area. Elizabeth ran over while Sami hobbled.
"What is it?" Elizabeth asked.
"Didn't we see a lady's dead body in here when that zombie attacked?"
"Yeah..."
"So...where is she?" Kelly said. The other two girls noticed that a blood trail led from the door to a back emergency exit. "Are you kidding me? She could have EATEN us in the middle of the night."
"Well if she was eating you, at least Elizabeth and I would have had a head start." Sami chimed in. Kelly gave her a dirty look.
"So why didn't she attack us?"
"Maybe she wasn't a zombie?" Kelly suggested.
"What? Not a zombie? There's no other explanation than an extremely dead body coming back to life..."
"I don't know but I'm just thankful that we weren't zombie food. We should get out of here. We need to find some food for ourselves. There's a grocery store down the street."
"I'm sure it's been ransacked by now." Elizabeth said.
"Better we check than we don't huh?" Kelly said. "Grab something sharp...I'm sure that lady zombie won't be the only one out there."

"He has a high fever." Mrs. Kingdom said dabbing Sean with a damp towel.
"I don't see any visible bites or scratches." David examined.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Becca asked.
"Everyone knows that you turn into a zombie if you get bitten or scratched by one...however they do it, as long as you have contact with them directly to your blood..it's over."
"There has to be something then!" Becca said frantically trying to rip Sean's shirt off. "We have to find it!"
"Woah, woah woah! Calm down." David said trying to pull Becca back. Mrs. Kingdom was shocked by her sudden outburst.
"If he's going to turn into a zombie, we can't have him around here!" Becca yelled.
"What's going on?" Mr. Kingdom walked into the room followed by everyone else.
"Rebecca is convinced that their friend Sean has been bitten." Mrs. Kingdom said.
"Well have you found a scratch or bite?" Mr. Kingdom asked.
"How do you know about that?" She asked.
"Have you FOUND a scratch or bite?!" He yelled. Surprised she shook her head furiously. Mr. Kingdom caught himself and took a deep breath. He left the room to try and recollect his thoughts.
"What was that?" Helena asked. "He went a bit crazy there for a second." She walked up to where Sean was laying down and leaned over to examine him. "I'm sure it's just from exhaustion."
Sean's hand shot up and grabbed Helena by the wrist.
"Oh my God, let go of me! That hurts." She yelled. Everyone was in shock.
Sean's eyes rolled back and suddenly turned black. His teeth became distorted almost instantaneously and a stream of black ooze flowed from his mouth. He quickly shot up to try and bite Mrs. Kingdom who was frozen in her place.
BANG!
Sean fell back down dead. A chunk of his head blew off from the shotgun blast. Everyone turned around to see Mr. Kingdom holding a shotgun.
"DID HE DRAW BLOOD?!" He yelled at Helena who was crying.
"What?" She couldn't understand through her tears. Mr. Kingdom was pointing the shotgun at her head.
"Dad stop it!" Anna pleaded.
"DID HE DRAW BLOOD?!" He asked again. Helena cried hysterically and couldn't say anything but show her wrist. Sean's nails clearly ripped some of her skin just enough to make blood
visible but not drip.
"EVERYONE BEHIND ME!" Everyone knew what was going on but were too afraid to question him.
"Dad please no!" Anna pleaded again. Helena cried and screamed...saliva dripping. She took a step forward in an attempt to find comfort.
BANG! It was her final step. Mr. Kingdom shot Helena through the head.
"WHAT DID YOU DO!" Vankelia screamed running over to Helena's dead body.
"Dad! Dad! Why!" Elizabeth Kingdom shook her father who was still standing with the gun in his hands. The others were sitting behind him, mouth gaped, silent.
Vankelia got up in a rage and showed a scratch on her arm. "I have a scratch too! DO YOU WANT TO SHOOT ME?!"
Mr. Kingdom shook as he raised the shotgun up.
"Dad stop!!!!" Anna said getting in the way of the gun.
"Out of the way Anna! There is no way to save her!"
"No dad! She cut herself on a piece of wood when we were boarding the backdoor!!! You're going crazy!!"
"I WILL KEEP MY FAMILY SAFE."
"You killed a girl!!" Mrs. Kingdom finally broke her silence. "You didn't even give her a chance!" She pulled him into the kitchen and everyone could hear them fighting.
"Quick." Elizabeth said to the group. "It's not safe here...I don't think my father is coping well with the situation."
"What about you?" Becca asked.
"I'm staying...it's my family." She said.
"Me too." Anna said. They could all hear screaming from the kitchen and plates breaking.
"Hurry!"
They all left one by one out the door. Elizabeth handed them a few tools to defend themselves. She handed Vankelia the shotgun. Anna gave David a bat, Becca got a hammer and Ashleigh received a crowbar.
"Now go while it's daylight!" Elizabeth said as she closed the door on them.
The group walked down towards the main road.
"You've been awfully quiet Ashleigh." David said. She perked up.
"Oh...um...I'm just confused by everything." She lied. It was just weird for Ashleigh to see Sean alive even for a moment when she flung him into the arms of a zombie to save her own life.
The group made it to the main road and saw smoke coming from the main area of Friendship Heights.
"I don't think we're going to get a warm welcome..." Vankelia said.
"I'm not sure how much warmer you can get than a fire..." David added. They walked towards the smoke with their weapons ready to fight.
